Custom Closets & Built-In Storage in Montreal

Built-in wardrobes, walk-ins and storage designed for Montreal housing: 1920s plexes with high ceilings, post-war homes in LaSalle and Ahuntsic, recent downtown condos. We measure on site, design in 3D, manufacture in our workshop and install.

In Montreal, storage is won in height and in corners — which is exactly where custom work separates itself from an off-the-shelf modular system.

What we typically find in Montreal

Plexes and older apartments: Villeray, Rosemont, Plateau, Mile End

Walls rarely square, ceilings of 9 to 10 feet, original closets narrow when they exist at all. Custom work here is first about correcting geometry: cabinets scribed to the wall, a cornice meeting the existing moulding, doors adjusted to the millimetre. The clear height above the rod becomes a closed cabinet rather than a shelf of boxes.

Post-war homes: LaSalle, Ahuntsic-Cartierville, Rivière-des-Prairies, Saint-Léonard

Mid-sized bedrooms, shallow closets, finished basements. Two requests come up repeatedly: turn the existing closet into an organised wardrobe without touching the walls, and create closed storage in the basement or entryway. Both use the same cabinets, varying depth and door type.

Downtown condos: Griffintown, Ville-Marie, Old Montreal, Outremont, Westmount

Compact footprints and a high bar on finish. We work full height, handleless fronts, integrated lighting, and let one piece absorb wardrobe, entryway and sometimes laundry. In Westmount and Outremont the challenge is integration into existing architecture: the joinery has to disappear into the wall.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a custom closet take in Montreal?
From design approval to installation, a standard project takes about 4 to 6 weeks. The 3D design phase comes first and depends on how many revisions you need — most clients approve within a week.
How is the price determined?
Price depends on dimensions, number of modules, finishes and hardware. The initial estimate is free: from your approximate measurements, a sketch or a floor plan we give you a figure before anyone visits. Precise measurements and material selection follow.
Do you travel to Montreal for measurements and installation?
Yes. Design, manufacturing in our Beauharnois workshop, delivery and installation are all handled by our own teams. Montreal is part of our regular service area.
What materials do you use?
5/8" and 1" melamine panels with 2 mm PVC edge banding, soft-close hardware, metal rods and accessories, optional integrated LED lighting. Finishes are chosen from real samples.
