Chomedey, Duvernay and Laval-des-Rapides: the original closets
Housing in these sectors is largely from 1960–1980. Original closets are typically shallow with a single rod on one shelf, leaving half the height unused. The fix is a double-hang section for shirts and trousers, drawers at the bottom instead of a separate dresser, and an adjustable shelf column. With 8-foot ceilings, building up to the moulding matters: a closed upper cabinet recovers seasonal storage.
